| | Business Booster - A course targeted at improving your employees' overall understanding of the world of business and the core functions that any business needs. Business Booster can improve the networking, share of ideas and potential for synergy and innovation in a company, as people understand more about each other's functions and the business as a whole. This course will provide an overview of the core competences all businesses need - people skills, strategy, marketing, sales and finance. This course will focus on participants' approach and attitude, terminology and latest developments in the world of business, confidence in public speaking and presentations, and how to interview, network and stand out from the rest.

| Start Your Own Business - Many organisations (government/3rd sector) are keen to help people out of work find new opportunities. This may be a new job but in the current climate it is also important to consider starting a business. This course asks the following questions: Do you want to start your own business? Do you need the flexibility, the money or just want to be your own boss? This course will look at whether running your own business is the right thing for the participant, how to go about identifying the right idea and build competence in the key areas - strategy, marketing and sales and finance. Participants will write a business plan and have opportunities for onward coaching if they choose. We also offer this course for employees who are planning or considering setting up their own business when they leave your workplace (Leaving the Workplace 2).
